Homages Pour In for the Reiners as Medical Examiner's Findings Remain Under Wraps.

More than two weeks after the tragic deaths of celebrated film director Rob Reiner and his partner, photographer Michele Reiner, peers and loved ones persist in remembering the couple.

A Heartfelt Farewell: Cary Elwes Remembers His Director

Writing on Instagram, actor Cary Elwes, who rose to fame in Reiner's iconic movie *The Princess Bride*, explained he just recently felt ready to post publicly about his deep grief.

"Enough time has elapsed that I can finally put my grief into words," wrote Elwes, adding that his first meeting with Reiner left him smitten. "When we commenced spending more time together I knew this was someone I desired in my life."

The actor uploaded behind-the-scenes footage from the production, remarking that he could not remember "any day without mirth".

"The film is about devotion, fidelity and selflessness. Values that Rob valued immensely. Which is among the many reasons he was the best person to guide it," Elwes expressed.

He also paid tribute Michele Reiner, stating: "Asserting that they were a incredible duo would be an understatement. My heart still hurts every time I think of you." He concluded with a line from *The Princess Bride*: "Sure, death cannot stop true love but existence is agony without you."

Martin Scorsese Remembers a Fellow Artist

In a separate tribute, acclaimed director Martin Scorsese paid homage to Reiner, whom he first met in the 1970s.

"Right away, I loved hanging out with Rob. We had a innate rapport for each other. He was very funny and sometimes bitingly funny, but he was never the kind of guy who would take over the room," Scorsese said.

Scorsese mentioned Reiner's cameo appearance in his 2013 film *The Wolf of Wall Street*, portraying the father of the protagonist.

"He was skilled at improv with the best. He was a expert at comedy, he worked wonderfully with everyone, and he grasped the personal struggle of his character," Scorsese wrote.

Court Proceedings: Autopsy Reports Restricted

In a new development, a Los Angeles court official ruled to bar the disclosure of the Reiners' autopsy reports, following a petition from the Los Angeles Police Department.

A legal directive placed a security hold on the files to prohibit the public release of "any investigative information, notes, reports or photos" associated with the ongoing investigation.

The Medical Examiner's office had already determined their deaths were the consequence of murder, with a official listing noting the cause as "multiple sharp force injuries".

Aftermath and Reactions

Following the killings, public figures expressed varying reactions.

Former President Donald Trump posted on the matter, offering controversial statements that were widely condemned by several individuals.

Podcaster Joe Rogan lent his criticism to the detractors last week. Speaking on his show, Rogan characterized the remarks as "shocking" and suggested they demonstrated a troubling deficiency of sympathy.

Rogan finished by proposing that an adviser ought to have acted when the choice to comment on the passing was made.
