The children's author David Walliams parted ways with book publisher.
Prolific children's author and TV personality David Walliams has been dropped by his longtime publishing house, as confirmed by the firm.
A representative for the company said: "Following a thorough review, and following the appointment of its fresh leadership, HarperCollins UK has decided not to publish any new titles by David Walliams."
Media sources suggest that the decision was taken subsequent to an inquiry regarding allegations of conduct deemed unsuitable involving young women.
The publisher has not elaborated on the motivations for this action, stating: "It is not our policy to discuss confidential company decisions."
A Highly Successful Literary Career
Walliams ranks among Britain's most best-selling authors for kids, boasting over in excess of 60 million copies internationally in five dozen languages.
His first children's book, *The Boy in the Dress*, was released through HarperCollins fifteen years ago.
Some of his books, including *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have subsequently been turned into TV movies.
His bibliography includes over four dozen titles combined, which features a festive story named *Santa & Son*, which came out under HarperCollins last autumn.
A Dual Career
His career breakthrough occurred on the TV sketch series *Little Britain* and has been honored with National Television Awards for his role as a panelist on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He was made an OBE several years ago in recognition of his work for the charitable sector and arts community.
This development follows the naming of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's freshly installed boss in October.
